Jerusalem Conference for International Policy
During the first week of March 2011 multiple congressmen declared their unwavering support for Israel to the attendees gathered at the Jerusalem Conference for International Policy in Washington, DC, an event co-sponsored by the IAF. Some of the keynote speakers included Amb. Michael Oren, Yuli-Yoel Edelstein - the Israeli Minister of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs, Yossi Kuperwasser - the Director General for the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, and Ambassador Roger Noriega - Director of Vision Americas. Rep. Dan Burton, sponsor of the Jerusalem Embassy and Recognition Act of 2011, Rep. Eliot Engel, and Amb. Noreiga weighed in on foreign threasts in the Middle East and Latin America and the American response, while Rep. Gary Ackerman, Rep. Michael Grimm, and Rep. Tipton commented on the drastically changing Middle East and the one constant - Israel.
