14. Dr. Dave Weldon
Dr. Dave Weldon served seven terms in Congress from 1995 through 2009. He was a founding member, along with Rep. Eliot Engel, of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus in the US house of Representatives. His idea to start the first sister caucus to the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus led to the creation of Israel Allies Caucuses in 50 countries today. After his retirement from Congress, he was asked to join the board of the Israel Allies Foundation and upon the passing of Rabbi Benny Elon became Chairman of the Board.
As a Christian American who reads his Bible, support for the rights of the Jewish people to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness has always come natural to me. Their sovereign right to possess their original home-land, Israel, are well documented legally and historically dating back more than three thousand years. Our great nation has always been blessed to have Israel as an ally. May it always be so.
