2. Alan Clemmons
Alan Clemmons served seventeen years in the South Carolina House Representatives. Clemmons chaired the Rules Committee, and served on the budget-writing Ways and Means Committee, of the South Carolina House of Representatives. Professionally he is founder of the transactional legal practice, Clemmons Law Firm, LLC.
In 2011 he was invited to Israel and spoke on the floor of Israel’s Knesset for his authorship and unanimous passage of a groundbreaking pro-Israel resolution which garnered international attention. Rep. Clemmons was also the lead sponsor in his legislature on other matters of legislation important to the Jewish Nation including: Iran Divestment Act; Resolution Condemning Academic Boycotts of Israel; South Carolina Stands With Israel Specialty License Tag Act and the first anti-BDS legislation in the United States. He also served as the National Chairman of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), America’s largest nonpartisan, voluntary membership organization of state legislators dedicated to the principles of limited government, free markets and federalism. Alan Clemmons has been credited with writing and passing the Republican platform on Israel.
My Christian faith and my American patriotism lead to my personal support of the Jewish Nation. It’s the honor of my life to be in a place where I can speak and act in a way that blesses eretz Israel and, at the same time, my own state and nation.
