31. Leon Meijer

Dr. Leon Meijer serves as Executive Director of Christians for Israel International, assuming the role in March 2025 after years as chairman of the international board and a board member of Christians for Israel (CFI) Netherlands since 2008. A biologist by training who lived and worked in Israel in the 1990s (including research at the Technion), Meijer brings both personal experience and deep theological conviction to the ministry.

C4I, which began in the Netherlands and now operates in dozens of countries, focuses on helping Christians understand Israel’s biblical significance, pray for the Jewish people, and provide practical aid—including support for Aliyah, Holocaust survivors, vulnerable youth, and other humanitarian needs. Meijer emphasizes that the organization’s commitment is not political loyalty to any Israeli government but fidelity to Scripture: He has spoken publicly about rising antisemitism in Europe, the need for Christians to speak out, and the ongoing spiritual and practical partnership between the church and the Jewish people.
