15. Gene Green
Raymond Eugene “Gene” Green is a former Democrat politician who served for 13 terms as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 29th congressional district. While serving as a Member of Congress, Rep. Green was a consistent and outspoken ally of Israel. He was a co-chair of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus and an active member of the Caucus who traveled to Israel multiple times during his tenure, including once with the IAF for a bipartisan congressional delegation. In 2015, Rep. Gene Green and then Rep. Marsha Blackburn introduced bipartisan legislation calling for the U.S. Government to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and the U.S. Embassy should be located there.
