Nikki Haley served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations in 2017-18, where she worked effectively and spoke out strongly against the UN’s anti-Israel bias, particularly within the Security Council. Prior to this, she was the Governor of South Carolina for seven years. In that capacity, she signed into law pioneering legislation against the anti-Israel "Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions" (BDS) movement.

As governor of South Carolina, she became the first governor to sign legislation that stopped the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement’s unjust secondary boycott of Israel. This legislation was later adopted by over 30 U.S. states. At the UN she took action against the organization’s bias against Israel and discrimination against Israelis.
