17. Gary Bauer

Gary Bauer has worked throughout his career to strengthen support for Israel and deepen cooperation between Christians and Jews. He has been a keynote speaker at CUFI’s Night to Honor Israel events, which bring Christian and Jewish communities together in support of Israel, and through his role with American Christian Leaders for Israel, he helps educate Christians, engage public officials, and respond to rising antisemitism.

Before his current work in advocacy, Bauer served eight years in President Ronald Reagan’s administration, including as Under Secretary of Education and Chief Domestic Policy Advisor. He was later appointed by President Donald Trump to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, where he served from 2018 to 2021.
