Mike sodrel

Mike Sodrel served as a Member of Congress in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2005 to 2007, representing Indiana's ninth district. During his time in office, he was an active member of several committees, including Agriculture, Transportation & Infrastructure, Small Business, and Science. Alongside his late wife, Keta, Sodrel was a strong advocate for Israel, significantly enhancing the engagement of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus.

After leaving Congress in 2008, Mike joined the board of the Israel Allies Foundation, where he currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. Together with Keta, he dedicated considerable time and energy to the Foundation, supporting numerous initiatives. The Sodrel’s frequently traveled to Israel and Washington, attending events and working tirelessly to promote the mission of the Israel Allies Foundation on Capitol Hill and beyond. They were the first recipients of the Israel Allies Award, an annual honor given to those who have distinguished themselves in support of the Jewish state.
