Israel Allies participated at the Central America Forum for Israel in Panama


Israel Allies Foundation Latin America Director Leopoldo Martinez participated in the Central America Forum for Israel in Panama City, Panama, organized by the Combat Anti-Semitism Movement (CAM) and co-sponsored by B’nai B’rith International. Israel Allies Foundation was a proud partner of the event.

The Israel Allies Foundation is proud to join the forum along with Israel Allies Caucus Chairman of Guatemala, Deputy Fidel Reyes Lee, and Venezuelan Parliamentary Israel Allies Caucus Co-Chair, Deputy Williams Dávila. The focus of this year’s forum was strengthening ties between Christians and Jews.

Martinez met separately with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala Mario Bucaro; Fernando Lottenberg, the Commissioner to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism for the Organization of American States (OAS); leaders of the Jewish Community of Panama; B’nai B’rith Director of Latin American Affairs Eduardo Kohn; Deputy Dorina Rodriguez from Dominican Republic; Uruguay’s Vice Minister of Environment Gerardo Amarilla; Colombian evangelical Pastor Eduardo Gomez, among other leaders. Martinez was also interviewed about Israel Allies Foundation efforts to promote pro-Israel Caucuses in Latin America and Caribbean countries.

Also at the event, the organizers presented Guatemalan Minister of Foreign Affairs Mario Bucaro the first-ever “Diplomatic Advocate for Israel” award in honor of his efforts to improve ties between Guatemala and Israel over the course of his career.
