42. Pastor David Sobrepeña

Bishop Dr. David A. Sobrepeña is the founding president and Senior Pastor of Word of Hope Christian Church, one of the largest Evangelical churches in the Philippines, with dozens of satellite congregations and thousands of cell groups. He has served as National President and General Superintendent of the Philippines General Council of the Assemblies of God and held leadership roles with the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches, Asia Pacific Theological Seminary, the Billion Soul Network, and EQUIP leadership training.

A committed biblical advocate for Israel, Bishop Sobrepeña has traveled to Jerusalem and prayed at the Western Wall, sharing publicly of sensing God’s presence there. He has also joined Christian pastors and Jewish rabbis in solidarity gatherings on Capitol Hill, organized with the IAF, Eagles’ Wings, and ACLI, to take a clear stand against rising antisemitism, affirming Christian friendship with the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
