22. Rev. Johnnie Moore

Reverend Johnnie Moore, PhD, is Vice Chancellor of Pepperdine University’s Washington, D.C. campus and Managing Director of its Middle East policy studies program. His work focuses on faith, foreign policy, and religious freedom in the Middle East; he helped advance interfaith cooperation in the region and was recognized by The Jerusalem Post in 2023 as one of its “25 Visionaries” for his work promoting peace and tolerance.

Moore also played a role in advancing the Abraham Accords and helped craft Bahrain’s Declaration on Religious Freedom and Peaceful Coexistence. A longtime advocate for religious freedom and persecuted communities, he has worked with religious and government leaders across the Middle East and has held leadership and advisory roles with organizations including executive chairman of the Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF), a U.S. and Israeli-backed aid organization created to distribute food inside the Gaza Strip.
